Cucumber, MRI Scan

This 3D interactive allows you to rotate and clip into a MRI scan of a cucumber.

The high water content of a cucumber naturally keeps the vegetable a good 20 degrees cooler than the temperature outside its hearty skin (thus "cool as a cucumber"). The protective peel is a good source of dietary fiber. Cucumbers are high in potassium, which can reduce blood pressure and cardiovascular stress by rebalancing the blood`s sodium-water content. Antioxidants in cucumbers include carotenes, Vitamins A and C, zeaxanthin, and lutein. The vegetable is also high in Vitamin K, which plays a role in healthy blood clotting and in bone health.

Interactive also available on white background. Please contact us at image@thevisualmd.com for details.
